HOW TO RESET YOUR IPHONE BACK TO FACTORY SETTINGS AND RESTORE YOUR PREVIOUS BACKUP
Are you having problems with your iPhone? Or you got stock while upgrading you iOS and you need to reset your iPhone back to its factory setting. Remember resetting your iPhone back to factory setting means all the contents and settings on your device will be wiped. The good news is that you can restore your contents from an earlier backup made from iCloud or iTunes if you have made one or you have automatic backup schedules.
Follow the instructions below to reset your iPhone and restore your previous backup:
- Go to Settings > General > Reset >Erase all Content and Settings. All the content on your iPhone will be deleted and your device back to factory settings.
- Follow the on screen instructions to set up your device.
- You will be asked to restore from a previous backup, select either iCloud or iTunes depending on where you have your contents backed up on.
- Lastly follow the steps provided to restore your previous backup into your iPhone
